In order to reduce the amount of administrative work for Boulder Badminton Club related to operating the two weekly Badminton sessions at the Westminster City Park Recreation Center, and to improve the peg system and picking process, the following changes will be made, effective January 1st, 2012.
Summary
Combine Thursday and Sunday Badminton and charging one fee for both days
New payment options with an incentive for longer term commitments
First-time visitors are still free of charge, but are required to fill out a ‘New Player Sign Up Form’ that documents the date of the first visit
Drop-in fee applies to all Guests that are not First-time visitors. Cash only!
Adding new payment methods in addition to cash and check
Skill Level on name pegs - optional
A, B, C and R (Recreational / Beginner)
Goals
Reducing administrative work related to running Boulder Badminton Club
Covering for BBC related costs (shuttles, USAB membership fees etc.)
Cost contribution from all players (Regular players and Guests)
Speeding up the picking process by indicating skill levels on the name pegs
Payment Options

Definitions / Payment due dates
Drop-in:
All Guests that are not First-time visitors. Cash only!
Please insert drop-in fee in cash box and grab a drop-in peg.
Quarter:
Q1 (01/01-03/31), Q2 (04/01-06/30)
Q3 (07/01-09/30), Q4 (10/01-12/31)
Half Year:
H1 (01/01-06/30), H2 (07/01-12/31)
Full Year:
01/01-12/31
Payments are due the first Thursday / Sunday in a new pay period:
Quarter: January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, October 1st
Half Year: January 1st, July 1st
Full Year: January 1st
Pro-rating (for new players)
A new player can join Boulder Badminton Club anytime during a pay period (see Payment Options above). The fee is calculated based on the fee for the upcoming pay period PLUS the number of pro-rated months towards the next Quarter, Half Year or new Full Year, depending on the Payment Option of choice. Pro-rated months will be rounded up prior to the 15th of a month and rounded down after the 15th of a month.
Examples
A new player joins Boulder Badminton Club on February 10 and picks the Half Year Payment Option:
Next Half Year starts July 1st
Half Year Payment Option ($60) PLUS five pro-rated months (5 x $10) = $110
Next payment due: January 1st (following year)
A new player joins Boulder Badminton Club on October 23 and picks the Full Year Payment Option:
Next Full Year starts January 1st
Full Year Payment Option ($96) PLUS two pro-rated months (2 x $8) = $112
Next payment due: January 1st (following year)

Boulder Badminton Club has a no refund policy in case you can’t attend during the full period of time you’e paid your shuttle fees for.

Please keep warm-up to a minimum to ensure that everyone gets more games. You should need to warm up once at the start of your session, then afterwards please restrict warm-up to 1-2 minutes.
Players that are playing the last game are asked to put the equipment away (posts, nets, used shuttles, name pegs etc.) and to make sure the gym is tidied up before leaving.
Thursday Badminton:
Please stop playing at 9:50 p.m. latest and make sure all players have left the gym by 10:00 p.m.
Sunday Badminton:
Please stop playing at 12:50 p.m. latest, broom the gym floor to remove broken shuttle feathers and make sure the next sport (Basketball) can start at 1 p.m.
